Eco-Justice Ministries presents
Growing the Green Network of Faith

Churches of all kinds are discerning that "caring for creation" needs to be an element of faithful ministry in the 21st Century. In Denver, across the country, and around the world, churches are working to conserve resources, encourage sustainable living, seek environmental justice, and nurture an ecologically-aware spirituality.

Eco-Justice Ministries invites you -- and interested members of your parish -- to gather with people from nearby churches for an evening of conversation about ways to strengthen this green network of faith in the Denver area. You'll hear what other congregations are doing, be able to share your own stories and questions, and learn about helpful resources and programs that you can use in your church.

We'll spend some of the time talking about specific ways that your church can participate in a world-wide day of witness about the crisis of global warming, on the weekend of October 24. We'll also help you think about the forms of environmental stewardship that are most appropriate in your setting.

Join us at any one of these area gatherings:

  • Tuesday, August 25, 7-9 PM
    Jefferson Unitarian Church -- 14350 W. 32nd Ave, Golden, 80401

  • Wednesday, August 26, 7-9 PM

These gatherings are suitable for pastors and educators, "green team" members, youth/youth leaders, people from building committees and social concerns committees -- and anyone else who is interested in "greening" your church. Please spread the word to anyone you think might like to attend.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Woolcott Family Foundation and the hospitality of the four host churches, there is no charge for these informative and exciting gatherings. Light refreshments will be served.

We look forward to seeing people from your church, and joining with you in strengthening your congregation's ministry and outreach.
